| Bobbie Mortensen began painting
in 1987, working in oils then moving on to watercolors and acrylics. Today
oils and acrylics are her favored mediums. Bobbie is a self-taught artist.
Her paintings include landscapes, seascapes, still life, animals and flowers. They depict Canadian scenery, woodlands, farms and old buildings. Bobbie has been exhibiting and selling her work professionally since 1993. She has had numerous exhibits at libraries, galleries and craft fairs, and has been commissioned by individuals, businesses and towns for a number of large works. She has shared her talent by donating paintings to various fund raising events, including the Canadian Institute for the Blind, the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada, the Family Mental Health Support Society and for several hospitals.
