Osoyoos Airport - Newly Paved Runway - Spring 2006 - Photo: Ray Janko

Osoyoos Airport

Runway parallels highway # 3 and the Osoyoos Industrial Park
Just west of the intersection of highways # 3 and # 97

Operated by the Town of Osoyoos - Phone: 250-495-6515

The runway has just been recently paved for the first time. It was used by pilots for years as a gravel strip and that really limited use for most small private aircraft. With the new pavement the airport should start to see considerably more activity. There currently are no services at the airport, no phone or washroom facilities. Hopefully there will be some development in the near future. You can phone the local taxi service and they will meet you at the airport when you arrive. Taxi phone # 250-495-7004

Airport details:

  • 1100 feet elevation
  • 2800 feet length - runways 12 / 30
  • 75 feet wide
  • right hand circuits runway 30
  • radio: Osoyoos traffic 123.2

The airport is also used by the local radio controlled model aircraft club, their use is sporadic. On rare occasions the airport is used as a sanctioned drag racing strip with the use granted by the Town of Osoyoos.
